WEEK FOURTEEN

I have done my FYP Proposal  Presentation. So, I need to carry on for the report progress for my FYP. 

For week fourteen, I have submitted my progress report for chapter 1, chapter 2 and chapter 3 which are the introduction to the project, literature review and methodology for my project. 

For next progress of the project, I will do research and find suitable electrodes for my circuit construction. And also for the circuit components.

WEEK THIRTEEN

During the research of the project, I had found a term which is ERG. ERG or elctroretinogram basically is recorded through an electrode placed on the surface of the eye, typically on the cornea. The signal is produced by the action of the photo-receptors and by in the proximal retina such as bipolar and Muller cells. ERG normally stimulated by a Ganzfeld or mini-Ganzfeld and reflects the state of the entire retina. The pattern simulator can be used and can test specific location  of the retina. The response typically consists of a negative-going-a-wave and a positive-going-b-wave. The leading edge of the a-wave provides a direct measure of the photoreceptor activity, meanwhile b-wave provides a reflection of the action of glial and other cells. More info click here and here. 

As next week is the final submission date of report progress for this semester, I had started prepare the contents of the report.

WEEK TWELVE

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim.

Ophthalmology also related to EOG. Ophthalmology is the branch of medicine that deals with the anatomy, physiology and diseases of the eyes. This means, EOG is under Ophthalmology branch. An ophthalmologist is a specialist in medical and surgical for eye problems.

WEEK ELEVEN

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim.

I had contact the g.tec Medical Engineering and asked for their electrode. The electrode is EOG Sintered electrode, 14 mm. (Click here). It is Silver-Silver Chloride type of electrode. I had contact thier supplier in Singapore and also have been discussed about the electrodes. The electrode was a little bit expensive also. 

I hope I can get the best and affordable electrode within this month.
